WELCOME TO THE 2010 SEASON
It didn't seem that long ago that I was embarking on my first year as President of AYF&C. It was such a great year with many wonderful memories. The commitment from our Board of Directors, our Coaches, Parent Volunteers and most important our wonderful Boys and Girls, is why we want to work that much harder to make 2010 even more successful.Already coaches are preparing for upcoming clinics. Here in March, our 2010 coaching staff for all levels will be in place and ready to go. Our Cheerleader Coaches are working just as hard and I can assure you their excitement and dedication will be there once again.
If you are interested in Coaching either for Football or Cheerleading please contact Randy Moya, Director of Football Coaches, or Maria Castillo, Director of Cheerleading.
Your Board of Directors is looking at the budget for 2010 and all attempts to keep fees the same is being considered Equipment, and uniform needs are being assessed, as well as trying to confirm dates and preparing for all of our traditional events that occur during the season.
We are looking at a couple of fund raising efforts to help ease some costs, as well as trying to find ways to involve more volunteers in assisting during the year, especially in the apparel and concession areas.
Once our initial start up dates are learned, all that information will be put on the web site and I will continue to send out mass emails to keep you all informed. This message will be on the web site and I want to apologize in advance as I will be sending this message to everyone that was on the email list last year. If you choose not to continue to be on the list please send me an email and I will remove you from my list as soon as possible. Please do me a favor and pass this message on to all your family and friends. Also let me know if email addresses have changed or if you know of someone that should be on the list.
Last year was an exciting year for Aloha Football. Our youth program sent two teams to the playoffs, in addition three teams missed out going to the playoffs by one game. Our cheerleading program was amazing and re-energized. Last but not least, our High School Football Team made it to the second round of the State High School Playoff, wow what a year! Let's just say the best is yet to come.
